Manager Pay

curious to hear what front line managers make? 133/230 for me.  But I've been getting beat down by reorganized and 100/225 targets for my AE's.  Took the last place team to number one last year but didn't make shit, how long do I stick around or do I start looking?

Have a one on one conversation where you present your facts without emotion and state your raise case. Then make a decision based on the outcome.

👆Yup. You don't know what kind of bone they will throw you until you ask. Then if they are dicks about it, time to start looking.

Yeah, echoing other comments, I don’t get it. Why is the first instinct always to jump ship?

This is like that broody girlfriend who mysteriously expects you to know what’s on her mind.

Bring up your discontent? Ask why you’re not fairly comped if you feel you’re not. Get yourself, and the company some closure. If they shut you up, after you make your case, then you not only know your next option, but when you interview, you can tell your new employer straight up why you’re leaving, and they’ll even get it. They’ll also appreciate that you’re a mature employee, and they can count on that maturity in the future, themselves.

That makes sense.  I've brought it up for myself and my reps.  What they say is they are basically powerless to do anything about it.  If they did something for us, they'd need to do it for everybody.  We have p-club reps and managers, with a long track record of hitting numbers, not hitting anything.  We had zero out of six managers hit their number last year, then for this year they take away accounts and raise quotas again.  We have "neet" consultants in all facets of our business making a muck of it, just wondering if things will swing the other way or if just gets worse from here

Didn’t make shit? How about keeping your job? Not to be flippant but that was what they hired you to do.

Sorry, don’t agree with this.

No matter how much the salesperson makes when we close deals, on work that we did start to finish, the company still takes the lions share of gross rev. I’m not disagreeing with that, it makes perfect sense how revenue is collected and distributed, but, keeping your job is NOT a benefit. A job is work, and an opportunity to work.

There are enough and more employees who mail it in and don’t actually do the work they’re paid for.  If someone not only DOES the work, but does it well and performs, comp us well.  Comp us extremely well, or we’ll go somewhere else.

I go to work for my own enrichment. I’m not there for the greater good.  You want the best, pay for it, or someone else will.  That’s the rationale for the company.

For the employee, I agree, be grateful that you have an opportunity. But once you crush, and deliver on the opportunity you were given, you’re damn well owed top-tier comp, or you’re well within your rights to fuck off

Absolutely, sales is performance based, like a pro athlete, reps and sales professionals are here to put up numbers and win, that takes a special someone, and that some with that something is worth a lot.

I had a similar case in my last org. Told my VP with 0 emotions that this is what's happening and this is what I'm expecting. He told me he can't make it happen soon enough. So, I bounced. No bad blood :)
