Managing Anxiety / Stress with deals: People problem or Technology problem?

Follow up to yesterday's post. I recently ran a poll here asking about some of the problems that AEs face day to day and got some great results. An interesting problem that a lot of people voted for was managing anxiety / stress with relation to deals.

This got me thinking, I'm sure everyone experiences some sort of anxiety / stress when it comes to closing deals and I'm curious if anyone has actually used technology to help them. Obviously there's many things that can be done like working out, meditating, drinking, etc.... but I'm curious if anyone has actually used technology.

You mentioned meditation, so I'm throwing in a plug for Headspace and voted 'maybe'.

Great tool to help you take a quick break and reset after a stressful moment.

I know a lot of people you used Headspace and really like it. Especially in the winter, when its too cold to go for a walk I am a big fan

It's great. My current streak is 404 days - so definitely a big fan.

If you have magic technology out there that alleviates this anxiety, share immediately.

Since studies have shown that Tetris can help trauma victims recover faster, I went with maybe.

Most of the things I do to destress involve me getting away from technology and getting outside and doing something physical, like going for a long walk. The tech exception there is that I have my playlist.

our increased need for and addiction to technology is what got us into this anxiety mess in the first place! Did people even have anxiety before 2007 (when iphone was created and facebook took off)!? ok rant over

Are you talking about apps that provide journaling, therapy, etc.?

I don't know if it counts as technology but I recently started using modern health. It's really great and such a good platform for talking to someone. I found improvement on my daily life almost immediately

Not in my opinion, it may help for specific people, but being outside or in nature is what tends to help me

I don't personally believe technology can help navigate through anxiety / stress. I think it can only aggravate it. Nonetheless, if you must know - Find a calm spot in your house without any tools or technology nearby and just journal for a while. Works for me.

There are a lot of apps that can help. Honestly, we need exercise or a massage to get most of it out.

I've tried a few different meditation apps and its been hit or miss. For me, nothing beats taking my pup for a bike ride

only if the tech lets you listen on on the prospect's conversations?

technology can help with predicting outcomes/evaluating what works and what doesn't.

What's always helped me is making sure I have a fat pipeline. If you know that deal closing or not won't affect you hitting your number or paying your bills you're way less stressed about it.

Tech helps until there is too much. Sometimes pen and paper are a great fallback
