Managing BDRs Remote

How are other BD Managers feeling about the development and results of their team in the remote environment?

Are you seeing different results from your team in office vs WFH?

I built and managed a team of SDRs last year after our company went remote.

I noticed immediately how important it was to keep 1:1s and sometimes increase them to multiple times a week. Some of my reps thrived in the WFH environment and some needed extra help. The sooner you can identify which category each of your reps falls into the faster you will see success.

Doing the same as E_Money.

I have Monday morning meetings and schedule 5-10 min checkins throughout the week.

I know who needs attention and who I can leave alone to hit their numbers.

I don’t focus so much on everyday KPIs as much on weekly now and that gives my team the flexibility to structure the week how they want as long as we are achieving success.

I like the not focusing on daily metrics and keeping it weekly. What I feel like has happened a bit (with some reps) is just making dials to get numbers on the board. Obviously it will catch up with them and I have been socratic in my approach to fix.....but I do like doubling down on weekly metrics as opposed to daily. You know what you gotta do...get it done.
