March Madness themed SPIFFs or sales competitions

Annoying and overdone or cherished and looked forward to?

I have been part of some (SDRs in a Madness style bracket tournament for meetings set) that were great and others (same old shit with the March Madness branding on it for no reason) that sucked.

Is it just me, or do sales managers try something like this every year?

Annoying. The same people always get entered because of named accounts. The excessive announcements from Marketing get on my nerve. Yes. One nerve is all I have left.
