Masking phone numbers when outbound calling

Good afternoon team -
Any recommendations on software for masking phone numbers when sdrs are outbound dialing?

At my former large company we utilized SalesLoft and had ability to mask our numbers. The new company i am at is significantly smaller with a much smaller budget for sales tools. I'm looking for a best of breed that isn't an arm and a leg.

drop any advise below... I greatly appreciate it!! 😁

Google voice numbers are free. Unless you want to mimic each area code

Any reason for masking your number? Are you using your personal number?

Team calls into government sector and most local entities get red flagged by a different area code

I don't pick up "unknown" numbers...and most DMs I know do not, either.

My team is not calling private sector. We are calling public. I've found from prior positions that individuals in public sector are more likely to pick up numbers they believe are from their area. My question wasn't to ask whether I should or should not it was for advice on what products other people use because other people absolutely do use them.

What phone system are you on? Most cloud-hosted systems have the ability to spoof built in.

Funny, here in b2b sales it’s forbidden by law to mask your phone number.

It depends on what software you are currently using.

Are you using Salesforce? We use Salesforce and then we use ringDNA for our phone system. They have an option for local presence that will use a number with the same area code to place the call. It's seamless.
