MEDDPICC Masterclass

Has anyone taken this course? Got an Ad on LinkedIn from them.

Been doing MEDDICC for over an year now. Self-learned through reading articles (Force Management) and implementing it in a buying cycle).

While I see their angle of providing a certificate. If you've been executing on MEDDICC successfully in at your last couple of companies, would you recommend going through an 18 part course?

We had someone come onsite and do in-person MEDDPICC training, and it was honestly very underwhelming. Unless something really doesn't make sense for you, I would say skip it.ย

Hey!ย

I'm Andy, I am the founder of MEDDICC.com. First up, thank you for taking the time to make this post. It really made me smile when I spotted it on a Google search.

You ask a really good question - @fujidale. I am obviously biased in my answer, and I want to abide by the community rules, so I am not going to get on my soapbox about how wonderful the course is. What I will say though is if I take a look at the alumni I am buoyed by the amount of elite-level sellers who have come from top companies who use variations of MEDDIC already who have given glowing feedback for the Masterclass.ย

If you are still considering the course I'd welcome the chance to answer any of your questions ๐Ÿ™‚ .

I've done MEDDPICC training via Force Management twice. Both times were several day events that were very tailored to our business. I've read that book and it isn't great -- i Imagine the training course is just them reading the book to you.

Hey @braintank, Force Management are awesome in my opinion. I too have had their training and agree about the tailored approach.ย

Could I kindly ask if there was anything specific about the book you felt wasn't great? I'd love the feedback to work on.ย

There's a couple of books on MEDDIC, and without being totally cheeky the last two times I responded to comments like this it turned out they had bought a different book to my book.ย

This is the book I'm referring to:ย  https://www.amazon.com/MEDDICC-ultimate-guide-staying-complex

Based on your username, avatar, and use of the word "cheeky" you either had a hand in it or are a VERY big fan ;)

It's a bit unfair but I approached the book as someone who had customized MEDDICC training for my company. I found that MEDDICC training to be "stickier" since it was tailored to my product and personas. In my opinion without those specifics it isn't quite as powerful, but obviously you can't right a book tailored to everyone's company.

For someone who can't do in-person MEDDICC training, the book is a fine primer.

Semi unrelated but I've been through Force in person and one of our senior leaders is a former partner there so it is DRILLED into us. I like it a lot and think it's pretty effective but would be curious to hear what you think about it? How effective do you think it is? Anything you disagree with or don't think works?

I agree with you @mrsexyspizzaย (strong username ๐Ÿ˜‚) . I think Force Management is superb.ย

I generally don't disagree with anything the folks at Force say and I think it generally all works. The biggest challenge Force face is the same as all organizations that are delivering transformation - They are limited by how prepared the company they are working with is prepared to adopt the change.ย

Fortunately, Force Management has great people and services to support change management, so I've never heard of any failed implementations.ย

What obnoxious, nonsensical Linkedin headline do you use to covey the sophistication of your role in the workplace? Or What are the most ridiculous Linkedin headlines you've seen other people use?
