It sounds like alot, indeed. But it’s not hard to book a meeting in my business. It can take like 5 min. Then you have a meeting. Really hard to explain. Haha

So we had webinars running in march and i was getting a lot of leads from marketing. I was making 70 dials and maybe 30 emails a day. It was a grind, but i made 9K in commission that month. Which is good for an SDR… but it was a grind

Are you in enterprise sales? The deals i called on are just small 5-7K deals

5 meetings in a day selling into higher ed marketing teams. All emails. However, very few of these deals closed so I ended up scrapping outreach to that industry. They love to take meetings, but none of them are really that sophisticated or serious about making changes

Marketing folks do love to talk, huh?

I’d be a little pissed though considering they wasted the time.

4 in 1 day through just walking into small businesses.

Nothing better than that. Sometimes I wish I could just show up to some of these places I’m calling. Helps get a yes or no immediately instead of 80 dials later.

I prefer walking in over dialing any day if the weeks. It’s not as efficient but for me it’s more effective. Also, it’s more confrontational and it’s harder for them to get out of opposed to them being able to immediately hang up on you while on the phone.

Change of leadership which cause a huge change in culture. Also a lot of companies see it as an entry level role so if you’re not in love with it you can leave and go to a “better” position which just means more money in my case cause the company Im at now SUCKS

It ain’t always about the money sometimes. If we’re talking $20K+ possibly but at what expense?
Patbate

It was more than $20k. I ended up getting what I was making as base & commission as just my base with a way better commission plan.

I am and agreed. It's a fun thing to sell only downside is I'm always calling marketing people🤣. I kad though because from my experience marketing people are much nicer on the phone than IT people.
Stratifyz

And Marketing folks probably love digital signage - anywhere they can amplify that brand. I’ll probably never go somewhere that sells to IT lol.. I just don’t think it would be enjoyable at all. Unless you come across the IT guy who should’ve been in sales.
