What mental health initiatives have you seen companies implement (especially over the last year) that seem to actually make a difference?
One of our executives has at numerous all hands meetings discussed the severe burnout / depression he experienced a few years back in an effort to "normalize the discussion" but so far the only thing they have done to act on this issue is establish a quarterly "mental health Friday" where we have no internal meetings / are encouraged to sign off around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. This doesn't do much for the sales team given we are absolutely going to stay online if we have a client call scheduled that afternoon.
Lots of individual contributors have complained to one another that leadership has really bungled this awareness campaign and I'd love to hear from the community if they have seen anything that actually works so I can make some suggestions to my own executive team.
