Mixed reviews about working from home. What do you all think of it?

Personally I love not hopping on the train every morning and for an hour and packing a crappy lunch just to sit at a shared workspace in uncomfortable "adult" clothes. I love working from home! What about you?

WFH... Yay or Bay?

The commute is the worst part, I have saved so much money on gas now that I have been at home.

I see both pros and cons to WFH. I like a company that gives employees the option to WFH when they want, but also has a physical office for those who don't want to WFH or just need a break from the isolation that can come from WFH.

I agree, give the option especially for social events at the office to make new friends, or actually meet your coworkers for the first time cause if covid!

WFH but with the option to use a wework. Nice to get out of the house + that open bar. Lets run into the weekend hot.

Wework might be the hybrid/WFH destination

For real, my company has gone full remote but they're trialling a couple alternatives that are cheaper than wework.

Just give me what I want.

It is how I make decisions in life! If I leave the house with pants on, it must be something important

I've now started calling anything not shorts or sweats "big boy pants"! I mean the irony is that I work in software sales and the dress codes are usually pretty casual so even if I had to go into office it would be jeans, but even that is a pain in the ass now!

If I get told to go back to the office, I will hand in my two weeks. Simple as that.

I think WFH can be awesome, but for the last 1 1/2 years I worked in a 60m2 apartment with the girlfriend (also sales). I really need that office now..

I’m fully remote now but would love a hybrid option where I can go to the office whenever I want.

Would you want a dedicated desk or would shared desks be preferred?

I mean, I would always prefer a dedicated desk.  Open concept is not my ideal work environment but in this scenario it might make more economical sense for the company paying the rent.

I had a hybrid model before the shutdown, and I have a hybrid model now. I liked the hybrid before, and I like the hybrid now. My company's HQ is at a shared workspace anyway (WeWork) so really the only thing that has changed is that we don't see as many people at our shared office and my days that I go in are Wednesday and Friday instead of Tuesday-Thursday.

I think, and hope, that we will see a lot of organizations adopt hybrid models moving forward. It gives you all of the camaraderie and collaboration of being in person while mixing it up enough to avoid the same routine every day.

I was very resistant to WFH until recently tbh. And I have to say, I was soooo wrong, when it comes to WFH “THIS IS THE WAY”

I love WFH and will quit before I have to go back to an office. It lets me live where I want but also still have a career. Like having my cake and eating it too.

Love hate relationship with it. Sometimes I'm super productive at my house and it is great not to commute and have the flexibility to be at home. But other days I get nothing done at home and if I was in the office I would be grinding.

The freedom to choose is ideal. I like working in the office because I feel like I get more done, however, having the luxury of a hybrid model allows you to get some stuff done at home that you would otherwise have to wait till after work to get done or even take a PTO day. I think hybrid is a win-win all around depending on how strict your leadership team when it comes to in- office presence. Currently, we are only required to be in office three days a week, and those are basically optional. Just a way to get the team back together so were not sitting at home alone all day every day.

Home = higher productivity Office = socialising and 5PM pints. Office once or twice a week works nicely!

WFH if I can only pick one.  But both would be nice because sometimes the dogs are just a little too crazy, the kids are a little too loud during the summer and sometimes there is just way more space in an office.  I don't mind my current commute but having to be at the office at a certain time every day is not my speed.

I fucking hate WFH. I’m about 4x as productive in the office. Don’t get me wrong, I hate the office too, but at least I’m more productive. If work is about working, then I would prefer to have somewhere to go to focus on the task at hand. . I do want both. I did enjoy the flexibility of WFH once in a while. Typically 1/10 days, but as a rule I much preferred having premises. I took a new role eyes wide open, and I’ve adjusted to the change, but I still hate it. I’m gonna try and sell my CEO on a WeWork or similar arrangement.

I miss the option.

Some days I want to collab and shoot the shit, especially Friday's where we normally just call it around noon and hit the links or the patio.

I think I commented on this before but I have moved places now. I think once a week. Once a week (maybe twice if needs be) works.

i went into the office yesterday and the internet was funny and we just chatted all day and no work was done.

I like that but still. Comiss needs work ay.
