MongoDB Corporate AE reviews?

Is there anyone (or knows someone) who has worked at MongoDB and what is it like?

I worked there for 3 total months and then ran away unfortunately.

1. Was insanely interested to work for MongoDB (this was 5years ago)
2. Was originally told I would be on the West Team reporting to a certain manager, once I was done with Boot Camp, they moved me to the Central Team
3. On the Central Team I was given a very insane territory of Kansas and Missouri and only companies starting with the letters T, U, and V.
4. I was the top test taker and the top presenter at Boot Camp winning both Apple watches. (Only 1 other had every done that.)
5. After Boot Camp, over the next 2 months I had 1 total call with a prospect account.
6. Realized no matter how great I was as a seller I was just a number in a seat - that’s when I made the decision to leave before it was too late and tarnished my resume/career path. (Also helped that my entire Team questioned why I came to MongoDB every day I was there.)

Haven't worked there myself but have some colleagues involved:
- Very high pressure
- Constant numbers tracking (Sales AND activities)
- A lot of pressure globally
- Very elitist environment
If you can take it, it's an amazing company with a very cool product! I know it's doing a lot of good in the EBU vertical.

I failed the process but if I would have had the choice, I would have left my current company to join MDB.

@MartyFr Really? Despite the fact that it’s high pressure?

Yeah I'm eager for that kind of pressure if I can stop working in the next 10 years. OTE for enterprise AE is 240K. It's achievable and I have good examples of successful ppl working there. Do that for 10 years and you have 1M saved in your bank account. Then it's time to do something else.

@MartyFr You do make a really good point. I want to be able to make that kind of money one day, I’ve been an SDR for 8 months at my current company.

Just had a friend quit there. Sounds like some VP - individual contributor romances make people uncomfortable

Toxic culture, fire people at the drop of a hat, constant micromanaging. I’ve known multiple people who were EAEs there and all of them (even the successful ones) were happy to get out of dodge.
