MontBlanc closed Hardware Dealer for $6.8k to the General Management department

Clearly inspired by Corp's Bluebird deal video I had one come in this week on Monday evening and close on Thursday. My average sales cycle takes a little over 60 days so this was a true gift.

I sell web development services and the usual sales strategy when taking on a new account is to sell a small engagement initially to understand the state of play and use that understanding to inform the scope of a larger follow on effort. In this case, I sold a website assessment because with this project we will be taking over from another vendor that has completed the majority of the work. This will hopefully tee up a $25k-$75k engagement to get their website live in the short-term.

The case with this company is that found us through a partner web page that showed our work/clients with their eCommerce technology platform. They sell the products of a manufacturer we built a site for and basically want the same look, feel, and functionality for their website.

I had to deal with one objection over email around using a performance measurement tool that didn't apply to their situation but after that it was smooth sailing. On the first call I got a verbal and sent contracts right after. They signed less than 24 hours later.

Good vibes from following @GeneralCorp clearly. Next you'll be stuck at deal desk?

Got a maddening services agreement legal will probably be redlining for 2-3 weeks for another lead so looks like I’m right on track

Good looks @MontBlanc!

Also, love the username - my dad gave me his first Winner’s Circle award Montblanc when I got my first role out of college and it’s been my favorite pen since. Just bought my first Meisterstück fountain, and dreaming of the burgundy JFK fountain.

Unless your name is after the actual mountain, which is also respectable.

Multiple meanings for the name and it was primarily inspired by the mountain. But of course the pens! Definitely gonna say that was half of my intention going forward :)
