More noise, more difficult to cut through

Has anyone else had the experience that it has been MORE difficult than usual to cut through the noise in 2020, and continuing into this calendar year? I've noticed that since the time more people have become remote workers, or are away from an office, it has been more and more challenging to get someones attention via LinkedIn, email reply, cold call, etc.

It might sound anecdotal but I've talked to other reps at partnering companies and with my own colleagues and it seems much more difficult to get a simple intro meeting than it was just 2 or 3 years ago.

Would love to hear your experiences as well over the course of 2020 and Q1FY21

I think there is a question of adaptability and priorities because of COVID era some people need more time than others. but yes I can see some trend that is it more difficult.

I'm assuming you did a year-over-year comparison. In my case, no, it's been pretty good and just a bit over my Q1 target already. Having said that, my company works with different SaaS startups and their sales have been really good.

Yea hard to say, my timing was really unfortunate of moving to a service delivery company that built custom applications for enterprises using open-source. Started late Oct 2019 and then by the time I had some projects lined up they all pushed or canceled this time last year. So didn't have enough data for a true year-over-year comparison. Definitley had to do with the space of tech we worked in.ย
