Morning Energy Outside of Energy Drinks?

Soooooo the guy that sits across from me was just talking about all the gas stations around that offer deals on Bang energy drink. 2 for 3 deal so this guy has been freaking cranking 3 erryday. Thankfully, he realized this was a bit excessive. But his move was to switch to C4 energy drinks instead of just taking a break? Slightly concerned his heart will explode all over my phone and laptop one day while I'm on a call trying to get these meetings in. Any advice on how to tell him to knock it off or offer some ideas for new morning energy outside of this wild and rapidly growing energy drink addiction?

Lmao that's like saying I'm an alcoholic maybe it's time to cut back so I'll switch from hard liquor to just beer and wine.

Switch to Jocko Go Fuel drinks! They are actually good for you

Edit: also do exercise in the morning, it works wonders for me.

I walk my dogs half a mile in the morning- I often bike to work (if it's under 90) otherwise walk another half a mile from Times Square to my office.

ie: Try to get some exercise and hydrate properly.

Also my doctor said vitamin D deficiency occurs when your body (70%+) doesn't receive at least 2 hours of direct sunlight a day. So loads of people have it (especially in NYC). Vit D def. can cause massive fatigue as well.

I love energy drinks. But as I get older I realize that they have some impacts on me that I don't like.

Bang is some high-octane stuff. 350 mg caffeine / can plus all kinds of other supplements. It's a pre-workout drink. So is C4. I prefer the powdered Bang over the cans TBH.

I love PWO's but they can lead to adrenal fatigue and other issues (such as chronic dehydration) due to all of the stimulants (not just caffeine) and the creatine that most of them contain.

It's going to be brutal to quit cold turkey and your buddy likely couldn't do that and still keep up with his workload, at least at first.

Talk to him about switching to lower caffeine content energy drinks. Or get him into espresso! Some way to slowly wean down.

I bet this guy has trouble sleeping, feels restless all the time, eats pretty inconsistently, etc... I've been there and the only option is to slowly wean down by finding something else that scratches that itch but isn't quite as potent.

What's wrong with good, old-fashioned bean juice? Hot, cold, whatever they want...it's wise to move to the natural stuff and escape a costly stomach ulcer. Trust me, I've had one due to consuming disgusting amounts of Monster in college.

Celsius is solid and isn't made of antifreeze and diluted adderallย

Sounds like this guy has to wean himself off to a much smaller dosage of caffeine lol sheesh

He claims there is less caffeine in C4 than Bang (have not looked into this to see the actual difference) but nevertheless I think a caffeine break for awhile may be just what he needs

yea. coffee.

transition showers from hot to cold water only the last 30 seconds. up that over time...if you get a decent nights sleep, step outside unde the sun for several minutes first thing and then can take a cold shower....you will be AWAKE. it's almost like that's how we are wired.

I have found transition showers from hot to cold or vice versa are an instant waker upper. Just have to fight through the genuine feeling of not wanting that temperature change lol

Bring him Liquid Death. Looks like an energy drink, but it's just sparkling water.

protein smoothies. Get me through the lows and keep me feeling full and more energy. My daughter loves loves energy drinks till my mum sent her a horrifying video of one brand that can bend a hammer as itโ€™s so toxic. Now she drinks smoothies lol. Hammers should not bend. Imagine what that does to your insides!! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Iโ€™ve been trying to avoid chugging coffee in the afternoons. When I work from home Iโ€™ve been making matcha and that gives a much cleaner buzz without the crash
