I had at least 4 cups of coffee before getting there. It's a longer story but basically, I hadn't slept in like 32 hours, took 2 flights to get here and should have staid in the hotel and let my guy do the job. He didn't need me really, and of course I almost f*ck up his deal lol.

Long-cycle (for me) deal. Selling SAAS to an enterprise size company. After 2 months of work and demos working with their team, the CEO agreed to fly across the country just for one day to meet with me, our executive team, and to see our company in person.
I had it all planned, but my CEO who was supposed to be in the initial meeting starting in the morning was 25 minutes late, while the CEO who flew to meet us was perfectly on time.
And then my CEO starts to ask terrible discovery level questions (which I did weeks ago), such as asking if they were a franchise or corporate model.... And the stupid part is I had already sent him all the info to review so he would be prepped.
After the morning meeting we were supposed to go to lunch, and my fucking CEO boxed me out and basically arranged it for just the 2 of them to go to lunch when I was the one hosting the guy!!!
So yeah, I was pissed and I am glad I no longer work there. I had been fed up with management at that point anyways, but that large opportunity deal was one of the only things keeping me there.

That sucks, sorry to hear you went through that. I had a few similar experiences myself, and ended up walking away from those jobs. Never liked upper management who thinks "they can handle it from here" kind-of guys.

I've only done mid market and i love it. I have no desire to be in enterprise sales closing like 5 big deals a year.
