Motivation Mondays...

Well, I game my two weeks notice on Saturday...

I love my company and was performing well, but I have a gut feeling that it's time to move on and take some calculated risks. I'm headed to a hot startup and start at the beginning on Sept, so taking the entire month of August off.

I still have a lot to do before my two weeks are up and have 2 large deals that will hopefully close. They're going to close, but I'd give them a 25% chance to close in the next two weeks.

... I'm cleaning up everything in salesforce to make sure the transition goes smoothly, but having a REALLY tough time staying motivated right now.

Spend your time on closing out the open ops. Congrats on the new role! I think I maybe worked 2-3 hours a day once I put my 2 weeks in, that’s fairly normal. Finish what you’ve agreed to and don’t take on anything new.

I'm terrible at being guilted into things...so thats a great call out to not take on anything additional. Do whats expected, not whats above and beyond!

Yup. Nobody expects you to work 15 hour days, but they do expect you to finish anything you have already said you would do. So get it done and coast, you will still leave on great terms.

Enjoy these last two weeks and don’t worry about the lack of motivation! Do the right things, don’t drop the ball, and recharge before your next role starts

Congratulations and good luck in the next company. Awesome. I love when people take "calculated" risks. I'm assuming you'll do fine!

Yea I'd rather just expense whole/portion of my bill than put that power in their hands.
