Moving back to sales...maybe

After being in sales for 5 years I moved to enablement in 2019. I loved the job at first. It was truly more of a sales management job at first but as the company has grown it has turned into a more traditional onboarding role.

I also recently had my pay cut (the truth COMES OUT) by a significant amount with no room to negotiate.

I'm seriously tossing around the idea of going back. The pay would be a 20% increase over what I was making BEFORE the pay cut and it's a product that I've already sold successfully.

Why wouldn't I do it?

Want to hear an outside perspective since I've had a few friends try to warn me away.

Sounds like you need to ask yourself what’s really important.

Are you scared of being rich or something?

Cause if that’s not the case then you better hop on the phone and start swinging that d.

Unless this job is the most fulfilling and purpose filled thing you've ever done, I can't imagine why you would stay. You've got to balance love of the job and paying the mortgage. Sounds like sales is a better move but maybe there are also enablement positions elsewhere with better comp if that's more your speed!

Sounds like the only reason not to do is if you hate selling.... which begs the question....
