Multithreading tips?

I'd value any input/ best practices. As a novice, I'm sure there's plenty I'm ignorant to.

For context, I sell an external data platform. Data practitioners are almost always end users, but use cases vary across departments.

I've found much greater succes building urgency with department heads since they feel the pains that we solve for, but they all push their projects onto data teams.

Any tips on how to involve sales, marketing, and product without overwhelming/ upsetting my end user?

You're probably fighting THEIR culture by trying too hard to get all those groups involved. You need to empower your Champion or primary contact to do that.

I think there is too much forced involvement here. Focus on your champion and press in there.

Each meeting should have different players. Never involve more of your people than their people. It will be overwhelming.

First question - Do you see a need to involve all these departments, in all the deals?

Sometimes, you'd get the deal just by getting the influencer and champions' buy-in.

Ask your end user how they would use your platform to assist the sales department and marketing. Maybe see if they can pull those departments in to give feedback on what they are currently doing and what improvements they would want to see.

If you`re going for enterprise accounts, I feel like an approach like this can harm your relationship more than it can do any good. Can you give un an idea of the deal size / prospect size you`re going after here?
