My Call isn't really spam, I promise

Hi team,

We're aggressively ramping up our outbound but we're running into issues with our phone numbers getting flagged as spam risk, reducing the connect rate. Anyone have experience mitigating this? We're using Aircall + Hubspot for outbound, fyi.

You know I have been wondering if every call that shows up as Spam Risk is actually spam. Not curious enough to answer though.

Haha yeah, enough ones sneak through that don't get flagged as spam, I don't need to also answer the ones flagged as spam.

Wait...as a salesperson I assume all calls I have incoming are people trying to give me money...am I the only one that has to answer every call?

Ok, typing that out makes me feel a bit insane, but not enough to stop answering all calls on all phones.

Have your dialer route as your actual phone number, not a randomly generated one or a local number.

Couple that with the newish, "Possibly: Sales Rep that I saw emailed you this morning" functionality and you might even increase your connect rate.

good call. The whole changing your number to a local number thing never seems to work. just use your number

Don’t local dial or use one generated by Aircall. Honestly bring the issue up to Aircall as well. Your company pays them to make sure this isn’t an issue.

Good call - I engaged with them and one route we're working on is updating our CNAM (basically the carrier's caller ID database).  Apparently this reduces the likelihood of spam flagging.

I've found success using google voice from a local area code incase you're going straight to spam.

Interestingly we tested this a bit and you're right - we've been using a localized number and it's less likely to show as spam when we dial in-state vs. out of state.

Yup, you could always pay for a 3rd party app that lets you switch by region, country, etc, but I believe google voice allows you to change only by area code, but I'd take google over a 3rd party.

I view every call I don’t recognize as spam but the ones which have the highest likelihood of getting through are those with my local number.

I still don't answer those. I watch the phone ring. 🤦‍♀️
