My client is having "long weekend"

After agreeing on Friday that we would finalise the deal, I've phoned up the client this morning and he says: "Sorry mate, it's been quite a weekend and I'm still half drunk half hangover... I might not make be able to make the best decision of the year.. so let's speak later"


How often do you come across the ultimate honesty of this kind ? :xD

I'd send him an email with an UberEats or DoorDash gift card code and tell him that it's to sober him up so he can make the best decision of the year by signing your contract.

If you're phoning in the morning, definitely shoot over a Starbucks gift card. Goes a long way and is easy to do (I do this with all of my legitimate opportunities, especially for early calls).
