My dude got an AE role after being out of Saas for 3 years!

I worked at a series A start up a few years ago (terrible experience the CEO is a fucking monster)

I friend of mine also worked there and we were both AEs (He got me the job)

Shortly after I left that job he also left. But he went and bought into a franchise with his brother. Pretty big undertaking.

After 3 years life changed for him and he is living across the country with his wife.

He hit me up and wanted to know if I could help him get back into the Saas game.

I hooked him up with a company i knew was hiring and in 2 weeks he was hired! doubled his base from his last AE job as well.

Saas experience apparently last a while
Niche down in your market and your experience is WAY more valuable.
Looking at competitors is always a good idea

see thats the thing. i didnt have a personal referral for him. I knew alot about the company and how they work. and when we did work together this company was a competitor.

so THAT experience along with my knowledge i think helped him nail the interviews
