If the square footage of that room is calculated into your lease, I believe you have legal standing to have access. Probably should know this since I'm a landlord.Β

Good point! Check the lease. What’s in the room? Bodies of previous tenants?

Call the landlord and said you left something in said room just to see what the response is.Β

Given the room is locked, I'm sure the landlord will laugh at the silliness...or bring you up for charges on breaking into his room

That's sad. You should demand for an entry saying something important for you is up there and left behind, may be?

That's just weird and would annoy the hell out of me. I would be so curious to know what's inside the room

It will depend on how your lease is written.

read your lease, this can dictate anything can and can not be used as part of your lease. You may be getting a rent discount because you don't have access to this room

How do you all handle a situation where a prospect has a contract approved and is ready for signature, but one of their family members just passed away? Want to be extremely sensitive to the situation...feel there's never a "right" time to reach out and never want to be salesy...
