National Sales Manager - logistics/supply chain average salary?

hi alll just curious to see if people know the average salary for a national sales manager for supply chain and logistics. I've been in the industry 10+ years and also have been in tech sales and management. was curious about average and top salaries in my industry and compare to tech industry which I've contemplated on getting back into.

It may depend on your location as well. Have you checked RepVue, Glassdoor, etc?

QQ here to help clarify - Are you selling logistics / supply chain services? I.e. working to sell some kind of capacity? OR are you selling software that supports this industry?

The Software gig is going to pay better. 250K ish OTE like @SADNES5 mentioned.

If you're selling capacity, I'd gamble that it's more in the 150K - 180K OTE range.

This is very true. Lots of tech selling LTL, dock logistics etc.

I swear if I get another "we are the Uber of less than loads" pitch... Learn to differentiate your product. I try and provide positive constructive feedback then see the rep join another company in a few weeks when they realize they haven't joined a unicorn startup and everyone and their mother wants to fill trucks.

Reverse logistics... If someone can figure out how to make money doing that... That will be the next Supply chain gold mine.

Don't doxx me.

Reverse logistics is not a consumer-focused problem for the most part, so the investment isn't as easily available. And it has many more nuances, especially when going international.

But when I was working in the SCM consulting space, it was a top of mind issue for many OEM's and supplier manufacturers. It just keeps getting trumped by capacity issues on outbound :)

Oh believe me, I understand. We probably crossed paths.

This is why you see people dumping stuff on small outlet retailers. Easier to just take the L than organize an entire network, and then add QA/BioHaz/Packaging/Missing Items etc. Absolute trash fire. One day I'll have a vision that will solve it all at 3am... Then forget when I wake up.

With retailers pivoting to the re-sale market... it's going to get wild real fast. Talk about taking on more inventory risk!

They're basically debt purchasers. Penny's on the dollar. Anything over 10-15% retail is profit. Crazy that they don't have online presence, they stick on brick and mortar retail...
