Need helping find organizations that would allow unvaxxed sales reps

Hey Bravado War Room Members,

Unfortunately I'm coming to a weird point where my organization will be enforcing a vaccination policy as we return to the office in the new year. There's no options for continuing to work remote full-time and I will be on the lookout for new roles.

Does anyone know which companies will allow their sales reps to forgo being vaccinated in order to sell for them?

I don't want to turn this into a pro vs. anti vaxx discussion, my personal belief is everyone has choice as to what they put in their body and I'm not advocating for or against it (this is your choice...)

Please let me know which organizations will not mandate employees to be vaccinated to sell for them, ideally within tech (SaaS preferably).

I think that you’re out of luck, personally. It seems that all mechanisms for risk reduction point towards mandatory vaccines for being in person.

Your best bet will be to find a recruiter to find you a 100% remote job, with no travel requirements.

Agreed @1nbatopshotfan looking like a 100% remote role maybe the only option. Thanks for the feedback

And personally, sales person to sales person, I must say, get the vaccine. There’s really know scientific reason not to.

Good luck.

Forward thinking tech companies are going to be a hard sell on non-vaxxers.

As others have mentioned Linkedin Job Search with the remote filter will be your friend. I know Chili Piper for example are full remote and tend to always have a few roles on the go.

@VineMic I may be the only person in here who doesn't agree with the govt. forcing an untested, experimental substance into my body. But rest assured, there are MANY companies that are not forcing their employees to vax.

Everybody wants you to think that large companies are the only way to "earn" and so you must conform. INCORRECT, there is more to Work Life than what happens in LA and NY corporations. I live in a large metro area, work for an Independent, and I EARN. Without the vax. You can too. Just dial 1-800-BATEMAN

I would assume that any organization that is 100% remote won't really care so just look for something that's completely remote. There are a ton of them out there.

Also, the mandate is likely to be stricken down by the supreme court eventually, so it won't be an issue in the future. Not trying to turn this into a political discussion as I don't think that shit belongs here, just reading the writing on the wall.

Appreciate the feedback. Whether or not it's here to stay (Vaccine mandates), sounds like 100% remote with no travel requirements maybe the safest route.

Yup pretty much. Honestly though, I prefer companies with less than 100 employees anyways. I'm a fan of early stage startups.

While I am resisting every urge in my body to tell you you're wrong...whoops...just search for roles that are remote-only. Filters are available for it on LinkedIn and Angel.co

@poweredbycaffeine , can we have an honest conversation about this?

The masses of people trying to shame others into taking the jab is very "culty" and strange. How did we get here?

Salesforce hires for fully remote roles so I’m assuming that’s a good place to start, honestly the market is so hot right now with fully remote jobs that this shouldn’t be a huge issue for you.

Gotta go the startup route.

Most companies ~50 employees won't have hard rules/restrictions like larger corporations.

My startup is sub 25 and we aren't allowing non-vaccinated employees to come into the office during quarterly in-person meetings or attend in-person events.

Better chance with a company who is sub 25 employees over a company with a much larger team.... Not saying every Startup is the same, but def better odds in my opinion/experience. (Changed jobs at the start of covid - both companies ~100 employees....)

Sorry to say, but There is a chance vaccinations will be required even for remote work, given the recent announcements from the political leaders that companies will be levied with fines for non compliance with vaccinations or have to pay for weekly testing(which is expensive as F)

It’s going to be tied up so long in court due to the questionable constitutionality of it that I highly doubt it will actually happen.

I personally hope organizations stop mandating vaccinations.  Then I hope they refuse to pay insurance premiums.  Then I hope insurance companies deny claims related to illnesses that can be prevented or mitigated by vaccines.

Anyway, try Gong.

A good idea is to look at start ups with 100 people or less or move out of California. I was born and raised in California and I moved to Denver for other reasons. I thought I would regret it and it honestly turned out to be the best decision ever. California doesn't really like diversity of thought, more of my way or the highway. Plus people outside of California are waayyyyy nicer.

Just take a look through 100% remote, small companies. Or perhaps looking into industries that may have a majority of companies that won't care.
There's a few websites for remote only jobs too, and many are smaller companies.

Honestly it's a bit hit or miss. I'm in Florida where it's very... mixed in response.

I would say it depends on who is steering the ship.
If you can leverage your network or look at posts of people who share your similar views, you can probably find companies that won't mandate it.

My company has no mandate, though I do have both shots and would recommend getting them, but this is America and people can do what they want.

Do you have to prove you're vaccinated? That's absurd! I'm not hearing or seeing any companies do this. Although I am down South =)

You don't want to work for anybody like that anyhow. Keep looking and keep your head up bro. Maybe explore remote opps?

@ColdCallHotCoffee Appreciate the input, I think this will be a "TBD" basis for companies (ex. Google and Cardinal Health have implemented these policies but many other organizations are still unsure).

Echoing the remote jobs thing.

Otherewise try non-tech jobs and/or look for companies HQ'd in Texas. They'd probably have something else to say about the vax...

To add to this:  I'm currently covering new opportunities for a colleague who has Covid.   Too sick to work, so I'm getting the inbounds - which is great for me, not so great for my coworker.

And the sickness did not come from being out visiting customers - it came via a child bringing it home from school.

Basically, you're risking being too sick to work and making $0 while you're out.

edit for clarity
