I just can't get over your list...

Merc
Toyota
BMW

(One of these things, is not like the others)

I think you need to decide what you are doing, is it a company lease? MAX THAT BUDGET.
Personal? Why are you getting a BMW that you can't even check the oil. (No dip stick, no joke)

If you got kids? That backseat will be a pool of crumbs/fries/crusts in no time.ย

Vehicles are all basically the same in this day/age if they aren't electric. 2-3 years you shouldn't have maintenance issues. Mercs are notorious garbo after years 5+ but if you're leasing, might as well go with whomever has the best rates and it's off your hands in 3 years.ย

What about a Q3? I'd probably take that over what you've listed.

From what you've listed, I'd choose the GLC. My Mrs has a GLA and the GLC is good but check the sat nav as they can be terrible

Thanks a lot Smithy! My Mrs is a big fun of Audi but for some reason it just doesn't click for me... hm.. I've forgotten to say the crucial part - I am a big Mercedes freak :xD and trying to convince myself otherwise haha

I do like our GLA and my Mrs is the same with Mercedes too tbh. GLC is just a bit bigger and drives really well.

I want to get an X6, but the reviews aren't particularly good.

Unless you are a big BMW fan, I'd recommend GLE instead of X6... but hey! I am biased about Mercedes :xDย

I would get myself a X3, if i could take one from the list.ย It's a beauty.ย

I don't know your budget, but what about Volvo XC60. I would take that over all the others.ย

X3's are sick, but I would lease, not purchase because dealing with BMW is a fucking bitch

My buddy just got an X3 and loves it. I would also consider the availability of each of these vehicles in used condition and the deals out there for them.

GLB is cooler than the GLC, and if you are looking Rav-4 that's a smallish size.ย  Look at the new Bronco Sport as well, pretty slick looking little trucklet.

Hyundai and Kia make REALLY nice CUVs these days.ย  Like really nice--you'd be surprised.ย  I prefer their styling to anything Toyota and Honda are putting out.

Also take a look at Mazda--super nice interiors, the CX-5 is a solid choice.

Good luck from a car nerd--go drive everything out there.ย  Lots of choices.ย  Don't forget to compare leases too if you are looking short term; lots of companies will lease aggressively in this price tier.

I bought a 2016 Rav4, and it was a great car. High-end model, heated seats, back up camera, great audio. It was also dependable and didn't get charged out the ass for any repairs like you would with a luxury brand.

Would highly recommend, but with anything, I would think about:

- what are you going to use the car for? given your original needs, I think that if you want something without hassle that isn't going to break down, Toyota's are really great in this area.

I've rented a GLC, and it was ok for a rental car. I wasn't that impressed. Never driven a BMW, and I wouldn't want to pay for the repairs. I do remember anecdotally, when I went to my mechanic he said any BMW is going to be way more expensive for everything in upkeep --- oil changes, repairs, etc. So I'd keep that in mind.

Coming from the automotive industry jsut before SaaS, Iโ€™d suggest do not compare a Toyota (highly reliable and most affordable option) with vehicles of luxury brands. Incomparable and Iโ€™d suggest what you care most about? Paying for cheaper gas and mileage and losing over 20% of its worth within the first year or going for a luxury brand with more safety features, iconic, more expensive gas and holds better resale value depending on kms.
