Iโ€™ve never been in that situation, but I understand the concern. However hard-work and performance never go unnoticed. Iโ€™d meet with former reps coming on board and understand their playbook. Show that you are coachable, adaptable and willing to outwork anyone he brought with him. Remember, you know the product, they donโ€™t. Even though it may feel like they have an insider track, you actually have the upper hand.

I've had this happen and it was a disaster on all accounts. Hoping for a dissimilar result for you.

So closed revenue will always be the great equalizer. If you/your team is a top performer, you will always be relevant.

Also, you can be a huge resource, since you have great deal of tribal knowledge.

If a new CRO doesnโ€™t bring anyone with them thatโ€™s more concerning. New CROs should focus heavily on numbers. So know yours. Specifically your YoY ARR growth, Net $ Retention, and average deal size per FTE. Along with the basic shit. Revenue and margin etc.

Be sure to meet with the new manager right away and lay out the obvious concern that you have in a new manager being brought in. If they see you as valuable theyโ€™ll want to keep you, if they want to get rid of you youโ€™ll also know and if they are unsure and judgement hasnโ€™t been made that will also be obvious.

I would for sure meet with the new manager and get a feel for them. let them know your excited to work with them and see if they need any help understanding the current process/ how things work.

hopefully this could be a way to stay close to them

They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
Had that happen to me years ago. My tip get as much face time as possible. Especially if youโ€™re remote. Otherwise, sharpen the resume.

The more you try to be relevant through your words, the farther off the radar you fall.
The only way is to ramp up in terms of the knowledge you have - and then to work that knowledge in.

I technically do not see any other way out.

Thanks everyone for the replies, apologies for the delay in response. It's very clear that the new CRO is here to shake things up so we'll see how things end up. Hard to get face time since i'm remote and he's in EMEA.
