New In tech business need advice

Hi everyone

I've just started a small business as a tech consultant and repair technician and would like advice on how to promote it in order to start.

My knowledge is wide but I'm definitely leaning, my sales and self promotion knowledge is not as good as it should so I'm here to learn and any advice would be highly appreciated

When ever I’ve started I business, the first thing I do is a market research of the media my target audience uses. Once I’ve identified the main 2 channels of communication they consume the most I start attacking those channels with humor (this might not work for every product or service).

If it’s a social media, you have to AB test what day and time you have the most acceptance, if it’s radio or tv always go for prime time.

Hey there! Word of mouth is great if you have the right contacts! Try promoting yourself unashamed at the places you frequent that have to do with tech needs. Inform your friends and neighbors what you are doing and offer good prices in the beginning! Best of luck!

You could also try joining expert networks as an independent. They’ll help fill pipeline for you with their client pool. BTG/Catalant/Toptal etc could be worth a quick look!
