New WR Feature around down votes?

I'd be curious to see a new feature that displays the number of upvotes and the number of down votes similar to YouTube. I know down voting has been a question in the WR and think that might be a quick fix.

I'm on the fence around seeing who did it. Seeing would lead to drama but also transparency so I'm actually torn.

down voters are marketing spies
I just want a reason for the down votes... Like a drop down when it happens. 

Downvotes aren't "I disagree buttons". They are to show this comment doesn't add to the conversation. 

So if someone selects "I disagree" it doesn't punish the poster. But if someone selects "doesn't add to the thread" then nuke it. 

This was the serial downvote brigade (you know who you are) has to pause.

Maybe both? I love that idea for the drop down but would also want to see how many up and down for context and knowing how that post or comment is driving engagement either way.
