NO SEAFOOD AT WORK

Question

I used to work at a small media company. The CEO sat on the floor (in his own office) with all the sellers. One day he was having a bad day and someone reheated seafood in the microwave which sent him into a frenzy of berating everyone and everything on the floor. It ended with an emphatic "IT FUCKING STINKS IN HERE. NO MORE SEAFOOD"

It was hilarious to me then and now. Any good stories about Execs or managers flying off the handle at something similar to this?

(PS anyone who reheats seafood in the office deserves to be berated)

Hi -- I covered this already, but I think a simple berating is the most minimal punishment one can get. I took it just a couple steps further:

We had an employee heat up some broccoli thing in the microwave—put it in, set timer and then ran an errand.  Cept she put 10:00 on the timer instead of 1:00.  One microwave fire and a smelly office later, she was let go about 6 months later…..for being a moron on other things.

I had an old VP of sales in the middle of QBRs start screaming at the reps about how he "didn't care about the details of their deals, just tell him about the money."

I once saw an EVP drunkenly scream in a waitresses face (and I mean screaming like a crazy person) because she told a colleague that a certain type of beer wasn't included in the open bar. This was in front of hundreds of people at a company event.

A colleague of mine used to reheat tune and rice. Not only did it smell but tune and rice? Come on.
