No verbal beforehand - Sending Docusings all over expecting to have one signed?

Its end of Q3! How desperate are we?

Have you ever just sent out Docusign SOs to customers expecting to get the signature even if you HAVENT received a verbal or just a desperate attempt to get a reply from the customer's goshting?

I understand the desperation, but if I were a customer and someone randomly sent a docusign to me - consider me gone. Gone and never returned. It's Boi Bye from me.

I've had managers tell me to do it in the past - it's a hail mary for sure (at least in my industry).

If it's not a boiler plate contract, though, it can make the contract team very unhappy with you.

Definitely has to be pretty simple and standardized.

I am over here refreshing the Dynamics opportunity waiting for it to be Closed every five minutes. I am in no place to judge anyone for Q3 desperation.

I think this could work with low cost products and short cycles to some degree, you would need a lot of buy in before hand and can be a creative way to show the proposal instead of just a pdf.

I have done it before getting a verbal but got on a Zoom meeting answering any legal/pricing/product questions. At the end, when I got a yes I pretty much watch them sign it.

I have only sent reminders to those that I have sent docusigns to before.

If someone sent you a random contract, would you sign it?

Does this actually work? I feel like if I am evaluating something and clearly am not to the point of buying, this would just make me angry. Would love to hear others' experiences if they have tried it though

Only transactional type stuff - won't work big ticket.

But I've had this work early in my career.

haha when I was selling a smaller ARR product I would be slinging out docusigns to anyone who MOVED!

Answer an email? - DocuSign
Return a call? - TWO docusigns! Take your pick
Ask for a dosusign? - im driving to your house to make sure it gets done

Love the creativity. But imo, waste of time.

Reach out to the direct supervisor via email and tell him you're waiting on a signature from his team and you're looking forward to having him as a customer. That should encourage the right communication ; )

I had one sent to me from a vendor that I was not really sure on. The second I got, I knew I wouldn’t work with them, ever.

I personally haven't done this but have heard other reps try to do this to get deals through.
