Nothing excites me more then RESTRICTED stock units. Hopefully I last long enough to vest, I donโ€™t leave the job so I lose my payday oh and the share price stays high. Also, they better be handing out 250-300 RSUโ€™s minimum to make this worth my time annually AND the share price needs to double annually. This is the modern day equivalent of sharecropping.

"at Monday, we don't pay our team actual cash, we pay them in stock which fluctuates like farts in the wind". This is still "carrot/stick" based compensation, but their carrot is just a piece of shit.ย  Also - Monday.com may have a high 'valuation' - but last I checked they were still burning hundreds of millions in revenue and aren't even close to profitability.ย

Imagine thinking this is an either/or issue.

At our place we have commission AND everyone in the company has share options. So everyone pulls in the same direction, supports growth and sales etc. But we also GET PAID FOR BRINGING IN REVENUE. I struggle to see how any top sales talent would work somewhere with no commission for any length of time.

Fuck Monday.com and the horse they rode in on.ย
