not a CRAZY EXPERIENCE PT2.

How you doin suga pushers?

So, previously I spoke about my experience as an SDR in Israeli company and how I had to grind to become AE blah blah blah...

Let me continue.

Once I've got promoted to an AE some things changed immediately and some things stayed kinda the same.

Before starting as an AE you had to go through another 2 weeks of trainings, once you finish that, you are able to start working immediately. Your seat is prepared, everything is set up on your computer, you know the pass and you know exactly what to do.

I remember very clear first time when I walk into the room of AE's. It was 20 Israelis and few jewish Americans. Again, everybody was shouting and music was blasting. Manager comes to meet me (very tense guy, used a lot of coke) and starts shouting why am I standing - here's your seat get to work. It just kicks in and I immediately blend in, just started dialing to my assigned portfolio.

25 of us were closing around 6 million USD MMR every month out of the B2C clients. Some guys were making 50k USD per month. I was doing alright too.

Obviously, at the beginning I was very happy because I was making good money and we had much other "benefits" like:

  • Every weekend Friday and Saturday there's a fancy night club that you come in, tell which company you are from and there's a VIP table with everything included.
  • Each of us had assistants that use to bring alcoholic cocktails while you are working.
  • Once the Cyprus security and exchange commission used to come to check the office and how everyone works - AE's room used to be empty, we were all on the yacht that day. (Teambuilding)

Anyway, that's the story in short. Let me know if you had any similar experiences while being an AE and if you want to here more Cyprus stories. (cuz I have a few more)

This sounds like a very strange combination of Boiler Room and Wolf of Wallstreet...

How old were you and your colleagues? Seems like a young person's game. Actually a young man's game, tbh. Any women?

Yea, I was 24. Most of the people were young. From 20 to 45 but mostly 25-30.
And yes there were 3 girls in AE team and obviously all the assistants where Cypriot girls.

Those girls in sales were very bitchy and had some stones on them. Remember on of them always used to talk to old male clients in a sexy voice and her line was "oh im here in Cyprus, it's so hot here... I'm not gonna lie I'm sweating like a pornstar here" You'd be surprised but it worked. Oldtimers were depositing 100k+ into their trading accounts.

Jesus. Sounds about right. Well, not 'right', but what I'd expect.

Would never fly in B2B...

More stories please!
Seems pretty cool, the parties actually.

But if the Manager is a tense guy, how did you manage to keep your calm? 1 thing I know if that if I donโ€™t vibe well with my boss, I canโ€™t thrive. I need to be comfortable first.

Haha, thanks.

I mean he was so tense that you didn't even had time to think about your emotions or what to say. He was like a dictator everyone was scared but everybody wanted to be friends with him. He was very intimidating but at the same time funny. Also, he had a very, very sharp tongue at that point I was worried to say something stupid because he will eat you alive.

They used to have cameras in the office and he used to send pictures in the group chat of people who stays late at the office and does extra hours that they are heroes and everyone suppose to do that. 10-12 hour shifts became normal.
