Note Taking - migrating to digital (again)

I am once again exploring the realm of digital note taking. I have tried to leave the pen-and-paper route several times and inevitably I end up coming back for various reasons - convenience being the primary factor.

I have tried OneNote and liked it but it's not super convenient when I am taking notes on the fly or in person. And if I am doing a virtual demo its practically impossible. I have to take pen/paper notes and then type it all into OneNote.

Anyone been able to convert to 100% digital and bridge the convenience gap?

I used pen and a 5 star college ruled notebook. I retain information better when I write. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Ditto, I need to write it down somewhere.ย  Its just the part of accessing it later.ย  I would like a better, more organized system.ย  I just don't want to put too much effort into it.

Yeah no. Pen and composite books till the day I die. Something about anything digital even my notes section thats just a complete loss. Google drive is nice but still. Being able to flip through a note book or have one dedicated to each topic is really good

I try to keep 1 notebook per year but the problem is later in the year it becomes more difficult to look up specific meetings.ย  I couldn't imagine keeping multiple notebooks.

Yeah for me it is a combination of the few. I will relay something to a google drive if I need to easily or often reference it. A meeting note is a good example of that. โ€˜Meeting with x companyโ€™ and perhaps linked into a spreadsheet of my target accounts in the note section and easily searchable in the search bar

dude. litterally thinking about this.ย

Im BIG google drive guy.ย
But now that im going to in person conferences and meetings and traveling, i dont like taking notes on my computer (i feel like its rude, ppl dont know if im taking notes or emailing or what ever.)ย

I also have ADHD so paper binders just get filled with random shit and i cant find anything haha.ย

I have been looking at the reMarable 2. its fucking wicked expensive but looks incredible. (trying to get my company to pay for it)ย

I tried to use one note or something like that, on an ipad with a digital pen and it was not good enough. there was too much lag, my hand kepy messing things up when i put it on the screen.ย

That too is an issue.ย  iPads arent the greatest for handwriting recognition.ย  Windows actually has decent handwriting recognition capabilities.

I'm a sucker for pen and paper. Around $200/month on stationary spend for the past 6 years. It just gives that tangible effect - burns things in my memory better.ย  Digital is convenient, but again, I'm just a sucker.ย
