I either use my phone or a notepad and pen. I feel like if I physically write something down, my ability to retain the information is much higher....too bad my handwriting is equivalent to hieroglyphics....

This is 100% me, and I can never seem to write straight either I start on one side of the paper and somehow end up writing sideways and all sorts of silly symbols.

I used to be 100% digital. But in order to retain I write it out the type it out/distill it down afterward. Has helped with my retention as well.

I'm a big fan of EverNote, but have been curious around tools that automate the note taking, like otter. Feel like I spend too much time on trying to add notes and not hear key things the customer is bringing up during our conversation

You can install OneNote on your laptop, tablet and mobile and it updates in real time. I was constantly using multiple notepads and couldn’t keep up with my old notes. Makes note taking a lot simpler and more effective.

I have a color coded notebook system. I remember things better when I physically write vs type.

That's good. I like physical writing too. Contemplating to go digital with the writing now as well

I'm a HUGE advocate for Dooly. It's super easy to take notes and update salesforce at the same time.

Do we have to integrate it to salesforce?

Not sure on what it's like standalone or with other CRMs. The integration is the biggest value point for our company (~500 sales reps) since salesforce is so slow and cumbersome.

We use Scratchpad. Tried Dooly which doesn't scale well, and very cumbersome. Scratchpad is wicked fast, intuitive and the team there is phenomenal.

Paper and pen for me and I have my own system of how I take notes.

it can be frustrating as I then need to type them out in the CRM afterward but I genuinely believe it helps me remember

Microsoft OneNote or Pen and Paper. Sometimes if I'm sending out a recap email I just type my notes in an email that I'm going to send.
