This account was highly targetted by the Competition Retention team, they didn't want to let that one go! Until we happened ;)
We had to go back in forth at least 10 times during the negociation process. In the end it wasn't a question of money but a question of trust. They had such a wonderful experience with the competition that one of the Exec didn't want to take the risk with a new vendor.
We went in full blast with our sales engineer to provide them a full proof infrastructure architecture that in the end made the difference for them.
Key lesson here - always count on your team to close the deal... JK if you have to carry your whole team on your back to win and close the deal, do what you got to do son!
