Objection Handling - "We Have Other Priorities"

Hey folks,


Just wanted to share a technique that has helped me recently get around this objection.


Prospect: "We have other priorities right now"

Sales-savage: "Oh right ok, what are those priorities?"

Prospect: "XYZ"

Sales-savage: "Ok X is interesting, because our solution is going to be aligned with that. You might need our layer underneath to make that work optimally (or any other context)" Should we spend 15 min if you'd like to understand better how this is gonna work?

Prospect: "Sure, I got time Friday"

I've done similar things as well, mostly after a demo. Even if you cannot get prioritisation/are able to move forward discussing other projects can often give you valuable insights into decision making and budget distribution at that company, so always worth a try!
