oh you don't say

no seriously, don't say these things. a list of all those phrases that we hate - stop using them. these are like the unforgivable curses in harry potter.

"nice to e-meet you" in an email. Starting an email like this guarantees I will never look back fondly on our meeting as 'nice'. Plus, we HAVEN'T met.

"double click on that". This seems like something a cop would say if they were trying to impersonate a tech kid.

"give you some time back in your day" this is not acceptable to say if you are ending the meeting 2 minutes early.

what ya got?

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
"This seems like something a cop would say if they were trying to impersonate a tech kid." Gold star for you.

"We win because..." Motherfucker, nobody cares why you win. Tell them what you're going to do for them.

"Hi Patrick, I assume you don't like Kahlua" -- this is just one of those immediate I want to stab you in the eyeballs moment for making such a dumb assumption and I'm tired of seeing it in my emails.

Do you still wear a full suit to your 1st meeting with a prospect, or is that completely dust now and feel like a used car salesman?
