Okay to take sales calls from the golf course?

Asking for a friend... A friend who does some of his best thinking and talking when he's completely relaxed, a friend that gets completely relaxed out on the course (especially in the morning before all the hackers start hacking.)

Is it okay to take sales meetings out on the course? What should I tell this beautiful, talented friend of mine?

You should tell your friend that it's okay to take that call. We tend to be our best when we are relaxed. So if that's the golf course then go for it.

I think depending on the type of call it's fine.  I mean I wouldn't schedule an important call to occur at the same time I plan to be golfing.  But unexpected one-off calls, sure go ahead and take it from the fairway.  That's why I always have my AirPods in my pocket!

if he can make notes that help him outline the next steps, I don't see a problem. I wouldn't do that personally...
