Yeah, but it wasn't too big a deal.

We're a pretty unstructured sales team and I'm on good terms with my supervisor so I more or less handed him the compensation guide, pointed to my city, and said "this is what you should be paying me".ย 

It helped a lot to justify the raise with some 3rd party data. I ended up getting a 30% raise to my base and I wouldn't have had nearly enough confidence to ask for that without some hard data to back me up
