OOO cadence emails

I’m currently ooo for a funeral (knew it was coming. Very old relative, not broken up etc)

Why can’t auto email campaigns see that I have an OOO response and hold emails til the date I return? I have daily newsletters and stuff that I do enjoy reading but being out a week means im

gonna delete all of them in an effort to get to inbox 0. I imagine that for people who get constant emails while out on medical, or maternity/paternity for long periods of time would be jazzed to not have to delete 98 emails from a provider when they return, if that was possible.

Is this a gap in the market?

There are platforms out there like Outreach that can determine they have received an OOO reply and then pause the cadence. It would be great if an ML engine could figure out the return date and restart the cadence then.

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. I enjoy the daily snacks from
robinhood, but I’m mass deleting all 5 I got this week while out. I assume I’ll do that for a ton of other stuff I read normally.

Oh boy
Outreach was incredible about that. Very useful feature. I currently do not have it and I miss it very much.

Wow that’s a real cool feature. I would defenatly use that. However, some people put their direct mobile in their OOO. And that stuff is good as well. Does Outreach atleast give you the OOO message?

This is a very good question. I wonder if Outlook has a setting hidden somewhere that could do this? 🤔

Like a temporary automatic unsubscribe or something.

Wouldn’t it be the same if you paused your emails and received all 98 emails upon return vs coming back to 98 emails from earlier that week?

Or are you referring to selecting a specific send from to choose to pause emails?

I’m referring more to the sender noticing that they received an out of office, and their cadence automatically changing the email cadence for that user. Have it scan the bounce back and adjust.

ahhh that makes sense. I know Outreach has that functionality, but not sure about others or in Outlook directly!
