Outbound Leads, prospecting?

hello my fellow SDRs. I was curious to know, what percent of your daily prospecting outreach is generated by managers/marketing team? Maybe 0% and you are doing all of the prospecting on your own?

if so, how many solid new prospects are you able to reach out to on a daily?

I am in a sort of a hybrid situation where a separate team is generating most of my leads, but I am starting to lose confidence in the pipeline (an SDR nightmare).

I am using Sales Navigator in conjunction with Prospect.io to combat this problem, but I am feeling like I am still falling short of my pipeline goals.

any suggestions ?

This is a crazy broad post, what industry, what segment, how many people do you touch per day right now? How many of those convert? Give me some deets and I can help.

SaaS, marketing software, 100 new prospects per day via email, follow up on about 30 a day via LI/phone. Conversion rate right now is pretty low, with about 20 demos booked per month (30-35 goal)

Do you use Salesloft or Outreach?

The numbers are accurate, but the number of people that answer is a fluctuating game.

By the amount of solid new prospects I reach out to, are you asking how many I set meetings with or people I reach out to that # works and still works at the company?

Just how many you reach out to that has a phone number/email address that actually reaches the person you intended

I would say 95% I reach out to its accurate which is about 30/day, dont be reliant on current info in your crm since its typically outdated. Use Sales Nav to figure out if they still work there and zoominfo for contact info.

I’m probably reaching out to 5-12 contacts per account, and hitting 20 unique accounts a week. So call it under 200 contacts/week

I am supposed to reaching out to 800 new contacts a week. I am struggling because I just feel like I am wasting time reaching out to less than ideal contacts, but also don’t want to mess with the numbers game. More is more, right? Until it’s not more and no one is booking demos ;(

Yeah that is tough.. does your team allow flexibility with that if you personalize your outreach more?? That’s something we leverage

800 that’s some serious volume

@tightlines I made a mistake. I meant 500. Still; a good amount. Conversion rate is not where I want it. I am stagnant at about 20-24 booked demos a month where I want to be at 30-35

ive been in situations where the company gives me a list of accounts I can prospect into, this is always hard because if the list sucks you are screwed. so I would be spending SOME amount of time each week trying to find NEW accounts to go after that are not on your list.

I never ever ever rely on Marketing. You're doing the right thing and as for activity- I average between 30-40 accts/week and usually aim to multithread with 5-10 people per acct. I do calls, emails, vidyard, LI follow, LI connection, Sendoso, tons of research, manual sequence so I can personalise per prospect, and always inviting to events or asking to meet for a drink vs do you have 30 mins.

Happy to help if you need, lmk :)
