Outreach: Calls - Emails - LinkedIn - What's Most Effective?

Outbound hunting is a skill. Some have mastered the cold-call, more direct approach - others have stayed away from the phone and stuck with emails.

LinkedIn is also a huge area of opportunity.

Ultimately, they're all important, but I'm curious to hear from everyone what they've had the most success with.

The phone will always reign supreme. I like email too, but it's no replacement for good old fashioned smiling and dialing.

There is no silver bullet. Ignore anyone that says one reigns supreme as a blanket statement. None of the 3 are dead, and each medium will have different levels of effectivity depending on your ICP. The only way to truly know the answer is to actually do all three and be maniacal about measuring the results.

Phone's my fav, but I also haven't frequently sold to large enterprises where the phone tree takes 15 minutes per dial.

Agreed. It's situational, and you have to play to your strengths.

I find leading with a customized email and following up with a call the next day to be very effective. This lets them know who you are before calling, and if you’ve done your research, makes them more inclined to engage on that first call

I love this approach, ChiDawg. I've booked a ton of quality outbound meetings doing this. Especially if you have software that shows you when they're viewing your email... If they've viewed 2+ times, you know they're engaged, and you have a perfect icebreaker if/once you get them on the line. But the follow-up call needs to happen!

"Hey I sent you over an email yesterday about XYZ, did you get a chance to take a look?"

Absolutely. Once you know they’ve viewed it, and maybe even forwarded internally, it’s the perfect time for that follow up
