Outreach % for A, B, & C Accounts

Lots of movement going on, causing us to build out new territory plans. Similar to most AEs, we are having our accounts be broken down to A, B, and C. Once you have identified which grade each account falls into, how do you breakdown time spent on a A, B, and C accounts.

Right now I am doing 60% of my outreach is A; 30% B; 10% C. My outreach to C is mostly a campaign that reminds me to check in.

How does everyone say organized with targeting the correct accounts but still spreading the wealth?

Fun stuff. My VP just had a whole presentation on this for me yesterday with nice looking territory maps and a request I grade all the accounts. By Monday lol in excel because you can’t do it in crm lol

Haven't really done this, but looks like it makes sense.

I remember presenting a similar outreach strategy in my interview. It was, though, based on energy spent per category.

For example, if category A is most important, 60% Energy goes there. That does not necessarily mean maximum reachout, because one might want to play the quality game in this segment instead of the traditional volume game.

Category B would get 30% Energy (mix of quality and quantitative outreach).

Category C would be ok to carpet-bomb with templates and cross-your fingers.

I have never done it for the new leads but I take similar approach with the qualified prospects where real money is tied.

I have mine into 1,2,3 but you’re farther than me with breaking down time spent. If I were to reflect on what I think I spend, it’s likely 80%,15%,5%
