Outreach - sequencing

Anyone know if it's possible to put the same contact (prospect/lead) into 2 active sequences.

  • One sequence would be lower touch but more strategic from and ENT sales rep
  • The other sequence would be more focused on setting a meeting (being run by and SDR)

Context: I'm laser focused on about 30 F1000 accounts in my territory. Trying to take a two pronged approach to getting in front of as many Influencers / DM's within each Org as I can.

Maybe I'm thinking about it the wrong way...would be open to other suggestions as well!

You can 100% do this, I would just make sure the messaging is on point.

I've done a similar strategy before, but to different stakeholders in the company. I would be interested to see if targeting one prospect from both angles does more harm than good.

Also depending on how your Outreach is run, they might have limited number of sequences a single prospect can be in. So I would double check that too.

Whoa, this is way over my head. Sorry I can't help here. This is all done via Salesforce technology on my end. Love the creativity!

You definitely can! But it depends on the ruleset you have in place for that Outreach sequence.

I (unfortunately) have ended up becoming the Outreach SME at my company and realized that most default Rulesets will make any active prospects exclusive to that sequence - your admin can change that pretty easily but like @e_money noted, that can leads to potential messaging problems so definitely communicate what you're doing with any other reps who would have access.

Be careful not to inundate your DMs too much in a short period of time - may be worth having your SDR start/finish and transfer the remaining over to a longer-term strategic nurture you're referring to

Easily. If you cant because of rulesets, then you can just create another contact. Dirty, but it works.

Awesome, thanks for the help guys! My "SME" said it's not possible but I'll have to let him know we can change the rulesets / create another contact.

If you refer to Outreach.io -- yes, there's a possibility to add the same people in 2 or more sequences at the same time. Just go to settings and make it happen.
