I'm just here to complain on a Friday....our director (who is on PST) routinely puts a meeting on all the AEs calendar for 430pm CST....why?

At my last company at least twice a month almost always on a Friday HR would schedule a mandatory all hands at 5pm PST when half of the company was either central or eastern time. The broad in HR didn't start her day until 12pm PST and ended at 7pm PST so she didn't care.
Every single one of these meetings could have been handled with an email and half of them didn't even require the sales team. She was really self important.

Every Friday. Its a weekly "wins" meeting and is useless
EW - if the team likes celebrating wins as a group, recommend moving to Monday. IMO, I'd much rather start off a week celebrating, help get everyone pumped up. Everyone wants to enjoy their Friday afternoons. I'm getting all fired up and I don't even work there LOL

This is a way for your manager to โmicroโ manage you without actually doing it. They probably arenโt good at managing their own time so they have to work weekends and night, so they expect that of you as well.
Iโm on PST too and have been most of my life. I worked for an east coast company once which did a mandatory 8am ET call every Friday.
