Pay raise without promotion?

I saw another thread about asking for a pay raise after 1 year. In my mind, asking for a promotion, is the raise. But, if its normal to ask for a raise after exceeding your goals then I figured I would take a stab at it. If I'm on 50/50 split, and they do give me a raise, wouldn't that also mean that I need to bring in more revenue as well, making it harder for me to hit kickers?

Thanks in advance.

Have you received a pay raise w/o a promotion?

Of course, promotions don't always equal a pay raise, and vice versa.

I absolutely have. I mean, if you're an IC, and you don't want to go into management, you're at the top of your own particular ladder.

Yes, usually a raise increases OTE, sometimes it doesn't. It will depend on your company and your ability to negotiate (or what they will agree to).

I ended up getting the raise without even asking for it! It happened about a month after I posted.

Your quota might go up after the raise but it’s worth to start the conversation

I've gotten a raise sans promotion before. Whether that increases your commission expectation is different from one company to another.

You should definitely pursue one if you're hitting, especially with inflation the way it is.

Almost every major raise I have gotten has been outside of a promotion.

come to think of it, I've never been promoted in my life. Don't know what to think of it but that's the truth.

Linkedin is the worst place to go for a demo first. It’s where you can have a great conversational approach (because people kill time there and you can catch them live in their slacking off time) to have a convo building into a interest call.
