Ok that was mean sorry but I couldn't resist. I probably do 3-4 demos per week. Small small deal sizes on average. Ranging anywhere from $99-$1k per month with a small set up fee. We also have usage fees we make money off of but you can't calculate that off the bat

Eh, our volume just sucks bc we rely heavily on inbound leads and that doesn't help when your website isn't fully deployed yet :/

Slow week 3 demos, busy is 10. Deal size ranges from 13k-50k but the big ones balloon into the hundreds. Average is probably right around 30k.ย

At my peak, I gave 6-8 demos a day. 30 minutes each. Back to back. The close rate sat at about 45%. When I hired a team to support growth, I went down to 4-5 demos a day and had a 60% close rate. Sure, it had a lot to do with what we were selling, but lower output resulted in greater revenue.

Mind sharing the average deal size and / or what you were selling?

Make sense to have a higher close rate after getting extra support + less demos.

It was a super transactional SaaS. $1200 ACV for basic product, but I was also running enterprise deals that spanned 15-50 locations so it scaled up.

3-10 on average. Deal size ranges from 50k-500k. Generally have to demo for multiple levels of the prospective buyer. Used to hate it but Iโ€™ve got it down now.ย
