Picking between Jobs

Hey All.
I've been an Enterprise AE the past few years. I'm currently looking to change jobs.
Before becoming an AE, I was an SDR and SDR team lead.

1) Company A is for a Director of BDR - ad tech. 60ppl solid growth
2) Global Account Executive - (SME) cloud optimization. 89 people, hyper growth.

I've been an Enterprise AE for 3+ years, I've closed great deals in in the high six figures. I've also managed a team of 10 SDRs for a year.

Both companies pay very well, both have a good culture.

How would you make a decision on which to pick?

edited to add more details.

This is like the bare minimum amount of information.

Equity?

Those are two very different positions. Everybody else is asking about comp but IMO those two are different enough that comp is a secondary consideration. What draws you to each? And how do they set you up for what you want next?

Based on what you put out there I would go with #2, but there is a strong lack of info.

Go ahead @Pachacuti go on and shame them publicly. Deep down you KNOW this is the only way they will learn, you even WANT to do it… just give it a shot 😉

AE 100%. In my experience it’s very easy to move from AE to bdr/sdr leadership but really hard to do the opposite and the comp runway usually isn’t even close.

Lol from what you've told us, it's just a question of do you want to manage people or do you want to close business?
What are your long-term goals?

I mean it's already been said, but we definitely need more info.

That being said, personally I would choose the BDR Director position.

first you have to ask your self if you want to manage people or manage your self.

then think about comp and future opportunities.

I had the chance at a Director of sales at a small saas company but realized I wasnt ready to stop being an AE and start managing people yet.

you most likely could make MORE money as an AE. But if you are looking to climb the ladder to VP or something, than director role is probably the best step

You take the money. Who is offering more? Also, what do you want to do after? Management - then Director. More money and IC - easily Global AE

Some variables. Caveat, I don’t sell into enterprise. Yet.
Do you want to be a Director and lead others? Are you okay with your performance being tied to the success of your people? Building processes, potentially from the ground up? Are you wanting to move up in leadership like. VP eventually? You’ll most likely be making less money vs. being an IC.
Or do you like being an individual contributor? (assuming that option 2 is that, it sounds like it to me but could be wrong).
I agree with others above, need more info to help you out.
