Planning on jumping ship how to go about it

Started a new role and i signed for these reasons.

  • Good product
  • 70/30 outbound to inbound lead split
  • ICP defined
  • Proven talk tracks and customer stories
  • Great comp plan thats attainable
  • Great Targeted accounts

When i started the role things were the complete opposite.

  • No inbound leads as they all going to the 2 tenured reps who don't do outbound
  • The icp not defined with zero pain points known for the product to solve and why people even buy us
  • For outbound a 1980 pitch with feature dumping thats outdated and doesn't work now in sales.
  • Horrible comp plan where we don't get comp unless we hit 80% of quota.
  • Target account thrown together for no reason and are junk that don't fit ICP

Only limited experience as i was laid off after 11 months in January as an SDR and been in the new role after a major gap of 6 months. Should I put this role on my resume as im killing the KPI's and was able to get a couple of meetings leading my team in that stat for outbound to land a better job

My opinionโ€ฆ
Regarding your resume - just donโ€™t update it that youโ€™re no longer there. Thereโ€™s no law that says you must.

And when they ask why youโ€™re looking to leave, just tell them you believe in failing fast and โ€œthings were not as advertisedโ€.

yes you should and post your stats. i like what @Pachacuti is saying. make sure you have a good story to tell about why you are leaving. its all about how you frame your experience, thats the difference between looking like a "job hopper" and being viewed as a serious person who knows what they want and knows what their time is worth.

So, the job blows, but youโ€™re still there. Why would you take the stint off your resume while still employed and killing it? Youโ€™re in a position of strength. Use it.

How long have you been in this role?
My $.02 - stay employed as you look.
Have this role on your profile as you are there now. If asked, you're doing well there (killing KPIs) but are looking for a role that will be a better fit for your capabilities - and what Pachacuti said.

i've been at the role for 3 months now and its a title increase to enterprise as i used to work in SMB.

It goes on your resume. Easier to explain than an even bigger gap in employment would be.
