Voted pod as I think the working relationship can help and you can help be a part of the development over time.

I think have the close relationship can help get meetings for the type of companies you like to sell to rather than some random shit

I've worked in situations where it was 1 BDR to 4 AEs in a pod. However, each AE had its own assigned territory, so the BDR would split days working on each of our territories and setting up meetings. This way they were optimizing their time based on timezones and how heavy a rep's calendar was at the time.

I think a combination is best for the majority of accounts.
Pod for region but round robin within the pod to the different reps.
Otherwise for more strategic accounts pairing or pods for sure

Round robin has worked best in the sales roles I have held. Nobody can complain that there’s not a fair distribution

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
Having close relationships has benefited the BDRs and me in the short-run and the long-run as they've built their careers.
