Sales Director
When looking for a new opportunity it doesn't matter what you currently make or what you used to make. You have to sell yourself and demand the *reasonable* salary it would take for you to transition. You want me for this role? This is my rate.

I sent him to repvue, just felt like helping, but yea, it wasn't so smart to get into in hindsight

If you have to educate the recruiter that glass door isn’t always right, you probably don’t want to take any opportunities from them.

Great point, I won't. Would you invest your time to help them by explaining this fact about Glassdoor?

Not me personally. I value my time way too much to do that especially given they likely have made no true efforts to understand what I’m looking for before reaching out with an opportunity.

I don’t reward a half-assed effort. If they however make genuine and honest efforts to understand what a good opportunity for me is and then present one, I may educate them.

Value should always be exchanged for value.

Glassdoor can be wildly inaccurate.  Not sure why so many people swear by it.

No way - waste of time. They're clearly not good enough at their job to be helpful to you in the future. Hilarious that they think Glassdoor is a perfect source of information.

Yeah it would be a hard pass for me. Glassdoor shows you make less, seriously? That's a joke of a response coming from a recruiter.
